About Dr. Chelghoum Oualid

Personal Profile

Dr. Chelghoum Oualid is a committed psychiatrist with more than a decade of clinical experience in France, particularly in high-complexity psychiatric care within hospital environments. His professional journey reflects a profound dedication to improving patient outcomes through interdisciplinary collaboration, compassionate care, and scientific rigor.

Before joining Vade Clinics, he worked at Centre Hospitalier Le Vinatier in Lyon, where he was part of the university-affiliated ADIS unit (Autism and Intellectual Disabilities). There, he handled consultations for challenging behaviours, complex neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs), and participated in national multidisciplinary expert panels.

 

He also taught courses on ageing in NDDs, served as moderator at the 15th French Psychiatry Congress, and contributed to multiple national working groups on topics such as melatonin use in psychiatry and third-line interventions for ASD.
